This Privacy Policy explains how American Friends of Yeshivas Temimei Darech, a US 501(c)(3) charitable organization, EIN 27-1185788 (“AFYTD,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), collects, uses, shares, and protects personal information.

This Policy applies to the website afytd.org, to any subdomains, and to all related fundraising campaigns, events, donation pages, and communications operated by or on behalf of AFYTD, whether now existing or launched in the future (collectively, the “Services”).

By using the Services or providing us with personal information, you agree to the practices described in this Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.

2. Who we are

AFYTD is a US-based 501(c)(3) charitable organization located at 261 Old York Road, Suite 514, Jenkintown, PA 19046. AFYTD receives charitable gifts in the United States and grants support to charitable and educational causes consistent with its exempt purposes.

Information you provide directly. We collect information you give us when you:

• Make a donation or pledge (for example, name, billing address, email, phone number, donation amount and frequency, dedication or tribute information, and whether you wish to remain anonymous).
• Register for or attend an event or campaign.
• Subscribe to updates, contact us, or otherwise correspond with us.

Payment information. When you donate, payment details such as your credit card number or PayPal account information are collected and processed by third-party payment processors (for example, card networks and PayPal). We do not store full payment card numbers on our own systems. We may retain limited transaction records such as the last four digits of a card, the donation amount, and the date for receipting, accounting, and compliance purposes.

Information collected automatically. When you use our website, we and our service providers may automatically collect technical information such as IP address, browser type, device information, pages viewed, referring URLs, and dates and times of access, including through cookies and similar technologies (see Section 9).

Information from third parties. We may receive information about you from payment processors, event platforms, and publicly available sources, and we may combine it with information we already hold.

• Process and acknowledge donations, issue receipts, and administer recurring gifts.
• Organize, run, and follow up on events and fundraising campaigns.
• Communicate with you, including sending confirmations, updates, newsletters, and information about giving opportunities.
• Maintain records required for accounting, tax, audit, and regulatory purposes, including substantiation of charitable contributions.

• Service providers who act on our behalf, such as payment processors, email and communication platforms, event-management and donation platforms, hosting and IT providers, and professional advisors (accountants, auditors, legal counsel), under obligations of confidentiality.
• Grant recipients and program partners, on a limited basis where necessary to administer designated gifts, restricted to what is reasonably required for that purpose.
• Authorities and others when we believe disclosure is required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of our organization, our donors, or others.
• In connection with organizational changes, such as a merger, reorganization, or transfer of operations, consistent with this Policy.

We may also share aggregated or de-identified information that cannot reasonably be used to identify you.

AFYTD operates in the United States. If you provide information from another country, you understand that it may be transferred to, stored in, and processed in the United States or other countries whose data protection laws may differ from those of your country. Where required, we take steps to ensure appropriate safeguards for such transfers.

We retain personal information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Policy, including to provide the Services, maintain donation records, and satisfy legal, tax, accounting, and audit obligations. We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information. Payment transactions are handled by third-party processors using industry-standard security. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

The Services are directed to adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or the age defined by applicable law) online. If you believe a child has provided us information improperly, please contact us so we can address it.
